Expected Failure

Jessie knew this day would come. Jessie did not like the outcome, but it was inevitable. Jessie knew this would happen and knew it would happen today. Jessie’s company had been asking people to make adjustments all year and it was now Jessie’s turn. Jessie was being asked to accept a one percent pay cut.

Please imagine yourself in Jessie’s position. Imagine, after having a large amount of warning and advance you were told you would receive a one percent pay cut. You expected this to happen to you. Please think about how you would feel if you were Jessie. Please imagine you were just told you were going to receive a one percent pay cut, although you knew it was coming. How would you feel? What would you think? What would go through your mind?
